What is BAMSS?

By All Means Save Some Theatre Works (BAMSS) is a not-for-profit organization made up of experienced theatre professionals and volunteers who use theatre skills to teach life skills.

 

We invite you to engage in an experience that will last a lifetime!

 

BAMSS offers a channel for your natural gifts and imagination.  Through theatre arts, children and adults can sharpen their creativity, improve their communication skills, gain self-confidence, and learn the importance of teamwork.

 

 

 

 

School Programs

 Since 2001 By All Means Save Some (BAMSS), also known as BAMSS Theatre Works, has provided New York City school students an integrated theatre program in a workshop setting where they own the process of forming and serving the community. Our skilled Teaching Artists provide comprehensive instruction in acting, theatre skills, musical theatre, chorus, dance, movement for the theatre and theatre appreciation. 

 

BAMSS workshops culminate in productions of either original student works or previously produced plays or musicals. We focus on process, which provides the framework and a safe environment for personal change and development.  We work with individual schools to design programs that work best for them and their students whether in or extra-curricular.  

 

The basic skills and concepts taught by BAMSS are based on the NY State Learning Standards for the Arts and incorporate the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts for students grades 4 - 12.
